In house hybrid designer/developer for the global luxury media brand.


I worked at Monocle from 2011 - 2013 as a web designer and developer.

I evolved the iconic visual identity throughout screen-based mediums (web, apps, audio & video), while building systems for the launch of Monocle 24 and The Monocle Shop.

The front-end radio player used HTML5 audio and combined with realtime now-playing information pulled from a custom build API. Users could scrub through the output using an innovative "Timeshift" concept (sponsored by Rolex, naturally).

Apple featured my work with their launch of Continuity in 2015

I also worked with Monocle's sister agency Winkreative, on clients such as MINI, Hermes & Mitsui Fudosan.

A personal highlight was meeting pop-icon Kylie Minogue and showing her the app I designed for Monocle.
